A staggering 1 in 10 babies in Australia are born premature (before 37 weeks gestation) and approximately 15% of all babies require some form of extra care at birth.

Babies born premature or sick can go on to face lifelong challenges and the experience can have a significant impact on the entire family. Parents of extreme premature babies are at increased risk of post-natal depression and anxiety. Without support, this overwhelming experience can have lifelong effects on the emotional wellbeing of these families.

Miracle Babies Foundation does invaluable work supporting the wellbeing of expectant and new parents with a baby requiring specialised care, ensuring that those in need receive vital, emotional support and resources to help them through their experience.
